Attorney Alexandra R. Hassell concentrates her practice defending complex civil litigation claims on behalf of insurance companies, municipalities, public agencies and individuals in the state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels.

As the Chair of Appellate Practice at Louison, Costello, Condon & Pfaff, LLP, Attorney Hassell works in conjunction with trial attorneys both inside and outside of the firm throughout litigation in order to evaluate the merits of an appeal and strategize accordingly; ensuring that all issues have been properly preserved for appellate review. This includes, but is not limited to, the drafting and preparation of dispositive motions, trial memoranda and post-trial motions. She has briefed and/or argued appellate cases involving a broad range of subject matters before the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
